Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 23, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Oncode (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform, available at www.oncode.co.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: When you sign in using GitHub or Google, we collect your name, email address, profile image, and unique account identifier (e.g., GitHub ID).
  • Submissions: When you submit a Git repository, we store submission metadata (e.g., repository URL, project ID, verdicts, logs). We do not share your code unless you explicitly make it public elsewhere.
  • Usage Data: We collect anonymized data about how you use Oncode to improve the platform (e.g., page views, project completion stats).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate and manage your account
  • To evaluate and provide feedback on your submissions
  • To display public stats on your profile (e.g., problems solved)
  • To improve platform features and user experience
  • To provide support and respond to inquiries

3. Public vs. Private Information

Your profile and stats (e.g., number of submissions, problems solved) may be publicly visible to other users. However, your actual code submissions remain private and are never shared on the platform unless you choose to do so outside Oncode (e.g., via a public GitHub repo).

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and submission data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you must send an email request to contact@oncode.co. Once verified, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party authentication providers (GitHub and Google). These services handle the sign-in flow and provide us with basic profile information. Please refer to their privacy policies for more information.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. While no system is 100% secure, we take privacy and security seriously and continuously improve our practices.

7. Your Rights

  • You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us
  • You may unlink your GitHub or Google account
  • You may opt out of analytics tracking via browser tools or settings

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Oncode means you accept the new terms.
